How is E5® different from topical sealers and curing compounds?

E5® works inside the concrete—densifying and curing the matrix—so it doesn’t rely on a surface film. In many specs it replaces wet curing and multiple topicals, delivering lower permeability and higher surface hardness with less maintenance.

Can E5® replace membranes for below grade work?

Often, yes. E5® systems achieve PRAH-level permeability reduction (third-party verified), but suitability depends on hydrostatic head, joints/penetrations, and the project spec—some codes still require membranes in specific areas.

Will E5® change my finish process?

You’ll get a longer, more controllable finishing window with less drag and a denser paste—so fewer water-adds and more uniform FF/FL. Many teams pair Internal Cure with Miracle Aid or Catalyst for even smoother troweling without extra steps.
